Ambassador -
Floriane Peycelon

Floriane Peycelon is a violinist and private teacher who regularly works as a function violinist and a freelance orchestral player, working with leading orchestras and chamber groups throughout Southeast England as well as abroad.

Floriane is the musical director of Folkestone Young Strings and leads the Folkestone Symphony, the Canterbury Orchestra and the Oare String Orchestra. She is a visiting tutor at the University of Kent where she also directs the University of Kent String Sinfonia.

Her solo performances include the Bach Double Violin concerto, the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto, the Beethoven Violin Concerto, Vaughan Williams’ Lark Ascending, and Vivaldi’s Seasons.

I am thrilled to be an Ambassador for the Kent and Medway Young Musicians Trust. Access to first class Conservatoire musical education and the opportunities I received as a young student in my home country was only made possible thanks to the generosity of a similar trust.

It is an especially challenging time for young musicians, both financially and in terms of general educational access to the arts.

It is trusts like KaMYM Trust that are so vital in ensuring that everyone, irrespective of their circumstances and background, can realise their full musical potential.

I look forward to being part of this important trust, spreading the word about the wide support available to the next generation of talented young musicians in Kent and Medway.
